Ataşehir Villa Kitchen – Dalga Island

The 38 m² kitchen on the ground floor of a two-storey villa in Ataşehir, merged with the living and dining area, was renewed. The client's wish was for the kitchen not to look like a kitchen even when seen from the living room. The Dalga series was therefore adapted with a curved island, matt lacquer doors and walnut veneer surfaces.

Installation summary

• A 3.2 x 1.2 m curved island with a single-piece 12 mm sintered-stone worktop
• Two ovens, a refrigerator and a coffee-machine niche hidden in tall units
• Ceiling-height wall cabinets and hidden LED strips
• Hob, sink and a four-person breakfast bar inside the island
• Production seven weeks, installation five days

During the project three 3D revisions were made with the owner; the curve radius, worktop overhang and bar height were tested on site with a mock-up template. At handover the one-piece stone worktop was brought in through the balcony using a crane.
